2nd Semester: Tricia, Crystal, Taylor

• Weeding: an essential job if the library is to be responsive to the needs of its patrons. Read the pamphlet and the article. You are responsible for the answer to the questions: Why weed? and What are some criteria for weeding?
  • See me to learn about the "Weed of the Month" site.
  • Review the suggested 'weeds'.
  • Pick a section of the library to 'weed'. Choose an area of interest, or about which you know nothing.
  • Read and understand the criteria and suggestions for weeding this section.
  • Pull from the shelves, those books you have examined, that should be removed from the collection. If you are unsure, check with Ms. Hulten.
  • Put the books on a cart or in a designated spot.
  • Review your selection with Ms. Hulten
